Ouray Photos

I recently returned from a trip to Ouray, Colorado (known as the "Switzerland of America") for the SPE Southwest Conference. I had the chance to present my work, review portfolios, and serve as one of the moderators on a roundtable discussion regarding teaching philosophy. Tom Fisher, Chief Academic Officer from the Savannah College of Art and Design did an excellent job as the keynote speaker. I hope the students walked away as inspired as I did. I've posted some photos here from the jeep tour that we took up into the mountains.

Hooray for Ouray and Installation Shots

Tomorrow I will be traveling to Ouray, Colorado for the Southwest SPE (Society for Photographic Education) Conference with about a dozen students. I will be presenting my work and reviewing some portfolios. I also recently received some installation shots from my solo exhibition at the Hall Street Gallery in Savannah, GA. Check them out here.

New Shows/Updates

Sorry for the long absence. In starting my new professor job, I've neglected my blog and some other duties. But now that I've started to establish a routine with my teaching schedule, I will have more time to dedicate to my art stuff again. Recently I got into a show entitled Connect/Disconnect at the Gaddis Geeslin Gallery in Huntsville, TX. It runs through Oct. 17 and features two images from my phantasm series. I also have a solo show opening at the Hall Gallery in Savannah entitled Schoolhouse which features images that I shot while working with Carrie Mae Weems on her project "Constructing History." I will also be presenting my work at the Regional SPE conference in Ouray, Colorado in mid-october.
